Clint and Dianne have been part of the ministry of KCC six months after it began in Kelowna in 1982. They have served together as elders at KCC for over 30 years and Dianne now pastors the work at Lake Country Life Center. Clint’s strengths lie in the area of finances and administration while Dianne’s in the counseling area where she was part of the pastoral counseling and equipping staff for approximately 10 years.
They also serve on the KCC Missions Committee with a heart for missions. They have travelled to the Puerto Escondido area for the last 25 years and find delight in serving the people there. Isaiah 61 has kept their hearts focused ‘ to preach good news to the poor and heal the broken hearted, setting the captives free.’ Nurturing, equipping, empowering, and liberating God’s people, in order to advance His Kingdom remains Clint and Dianne’s heart desire.
Presently KCC is helping 3 churches in Mexico, Pinotepa, Zicatela and San Pedro form their own religious organization so the churches planted remain with the Mexican people and their children's children. The churches continue to request Pastor Dave’s apostolic leadership and oversight to grow and mature so together we can help the hurting, the widows and the orphans as we spread the gospel.
It is our desire and vision that BBB be an influence into the future of Churches in Mexico. We want to see many mission churches born out of these 3 churches, orphanages and homeless be supported, and that young men and women with no hope can be given hope.
Pastor Salvador and Teresa, along with newly ordained Pastor Jose and Rosa oversee about 200-300 people in the Zicatela Church in Puerto Escondido. The people have joined their hearts and hands to together to extend God’s Kingdom. With a lively worship team of young people, the wonderful sounds of worship and praise fill the air bringing the tangible presence of God into the services. The children’s ministry has about 50 young ones full of life and joy! With the increase of people the church needs to be enlarged and land purchased to accommodate the growth.
CHURCH BUILDING PROJECT
Two pieces of property have been purchased for the development of a new sanctuary to accommodate the growth of the Zicatela church. The land has been cleared and made ready to begin the building.
CANCER SUPPORT PROJECT
Dahlia and Ruben are a couple with a vision to support families suffering with cancer. This couple lost a young daughter to the disease and has sensed a call to come to the aid of others dealing with its difficulties. With their help, people are supported emotionally, physically and spiritually. They also act as a liaison between governmental resources and cancer victims.
PINOTEPA CHRISTIAN CENTER CHURCH
Pastor Bismark and Lupita oversee a thriving work of approximately 150 people in Pinotepa, a community about 3 hours away from Puerto Escondido. Many years ago we attended the baptism of Bismark and Lupita, and have watched the development and growth of this beautiful couple and their family. They now pastor the work in Pinotepa. This couple is to be commended for their diligence and faithfulness!
The church community also has a building project underway to accomodate the growth. Property has been purchased and phase one of the new sanctuary is underway.
MISSION OUTREACH CHURCHES
Pinotepa has two outreach churches one called Pinotepa Rancho Viejo and the other Pinotepa de Don Luis. The mission churches are in constant fellowship with Pinotepa Christian Center church, gathering together for leadership training each year under Pastor David.
SAN PEDRO CHURCH
About half an hour from Puerto Escondido is a small community called San Pedro. The work started under a tree and has developed considerably with the over sight of Pastor Roberto and Gudelia. The church building houses about 100 people but has a capacity for about 300 people. Last year we aided the Pastor by building an addition to his home which is on the church property. The church has also been the project of the many ministry teams we have sent to Mexico to help.
The yearly Leadership Conference with Pastor David was held last February here. With the gathering together of Zicatela, Pinotepa and the mission outreach works, San Pedro was alive with worship and the wonderful Presence of our God! It was a joy to see the impact in the community!San Pedro also has a mission work called San Pedro-Canada.
